Jawaa tilted her head as Rizin squirmed in Devi's grasp. "See, Devi, ah always say chu stronga' dan meh... Ah had de hardes' time carryin' her heah!
Jawaa awkwardly took Rizin from Devi, turning her right side up again and setting her down. "Now... a'course chu don' gotta if chu don' wanna.. but don' chu tink it be nice ta watch de flowahs an' herbs grow? Chu can even tell meh wha' dey looks like from day ta day! Jawaa yawned and sat up in the snow she had been sleeping in. Listening, she heard her pets sleeping in side the giant log that Deviance had rolled over for her. Smiling slightly, she unrolled her tabard that she had been using as a pillow and pulled it over her shoulders and tied her blindfold over her eyes. The hunter stood and stretched, and opted not to put on her armor right away.
Nearby, Jawaa heard Rizin trudge through the snow. Judging by the sound of her footsteps, Jawaa guessed that the tiny warrior had been out all night training and practicing, wearing herself out. Jawaa listened as instead of going to her bed in Devi's guest hut, Rizin instead stepped over to the small herb garden that the two of them tended to. Jawaa sighed softly as she heard Rizin flop wearily into the snow and begin scooping snow away from the more fragile plants.
The tall hunter stood and walked to Rizin, who seemed to work harder as Jawaa drew nearer. Jawaa kneeled next to the tiny troll and began helping her. They worked in silence for a few moments, before Jawaa finally spoke, nearly scaring Rizin out of her armor.
"Why does ah scare chu? Wheneva chu is neah meh, chu acts like ah's a monsta' waitin' ta kill chu... which ah's na'..."
Rizin paused to catch her breath, and ceased her work. "I umm... it's just that... I don't know you very well... and you are the Matron... and you are blind... but you still do so much..." She trailed off, and started digging at the snow again.
Jawaa smiled at Rizin and laid a hand on her arm. "Ah's jus' anotha' troll, jus' like chu. Ah went tru' ma trainin' jus' like chu is.. an' ah had lots a' help... an' ah still does." Jawaa paused, and grinned before continuing. "As fo' na' knowin' meh, le's change dat. Has chu eva been fishin'?"

A tall troll stood next to a short younger looking troll by the pond in Thunder Bluff, both casting their lines into the pond. Between them was a growing pile of items they had fished from the water.
Jawaa could sense a feeling of enjoyment from Rizin that she never had before. She had told the small warrior about herself, and her past, who had responded with a few details of her own, how she had met Kimdreg and been brought to the Voodoo. After that though, they had fished in silence. Jawaa could tell that Rizin hadn't told her everything, but she wasn't going to make her.
Rizin on the other hand, felt more comfortable with Jawaa, and was staring at their reflections in the water. "You know... we look a lot alike. You are a lot taller than me, but our faces look similar, and our hair color and skin too."
Reeling in her catch, and releasing the fish on the hook, Jawaa smiled. "Devi's tol' meh dat afoah too. It seem like de two a' us is a lot alike... bot' likin' de cold an' lookin' alike... Hey! chu said chu was raised by orcs... does chu know anatin' about cha blood parents?"
Rizin ignored the fish that nibbled at the bait on her line. Should she tell Jawaa? Should she tell Jawaa that her parents were from Northrend? Rizin let out a long sigh. If Jawaa was determined, she could look in the same records she had to find out who her parents were, and where they had come from. There was no point in not telling her. She reeled in her now empty hook and set her pole down.
"My troll parents were from Northrend... they were killed not too long after I was born. Both fell in battle against the Alliance... My mother's name was Maralia Frozenbow, and my father-"
Jawaa's fishing pole dropped into the water. She turned slowly to Rizin and kneeled to her height. Her voice shook as she spoke. "Cha motha's name was Frozenbow? Dat.. was Momma's name afoah she an' ma fatha' decided ta both take Frostdrop...
Rizin nodded slowly. "They were exiled from their village a little over 22 years ago..."
"...de same time ma fatha' was..." Jawaa whispered.
Rizin stared at Jawaa. She felt almost as if she was looking in a mirror. "Our mothers... they were sisters weren't they?"
Jawaa nodded slightly, her blindfold starting to grow damp over her eyes. "Momma always talked about how she missed her sista'... "
Rizin wiped her eyes and stepped to Jawaa, wrapping her arms around the hunter's waist. Jawaa smiled and leaned down to hug her cousin. They held each other for some time, both in relative disbelief that they weren't alone, and both fearing that it was all a dream.

The last rays of sunlight were fading from the sky as the wildlife of Mulgore went about their business. The lions and wolves hunted the plainstriders, who in turn ran playfully away. A light cool breeze swayed the grass in waves across the green prairie. And as Rizin wandered aimlessly through all this, she decided she was bored.
Following Jayoba and Beiame's advice to find something she enjoyed... to enjoy life. The problem was, all Rizin had known since she escaped Stranglethorn Vale was fighting. It was all she was good at. It was all she lived for. But, she promised Jayoba she would try...
Rizin nearly walked into Stonebull lake, having been going over the evening's conversation, and battle strategies. Looking around, Rizin felt she was safe enough here, and left her armor on the shore and went for a swim, though it was more to wash her wounds and blood away. After that, she was lying on her side staring across the lake, the mechanical squirrel Lyein gave her sitting on her hip, seeming to keep guard. The sound of the waves lapping gently against the shore, the wind whispering through the grass... Rizin nodded off.
Rizin bolted awake in a near panic. She had dozed off again. She knew because she hadn't heard the troll approaching until after he had slammed open the door to her cage. Rizin cowered in the corner as far away as she could from him. She didn't dare look up at him... she already knew what she would see. A scarred war-painted face staring hungrily at her.
Rizin yelped as she woke up in the soft grass of Mulgore, covered in a cold sweat. Her mechanical squirrel was staring at her, swishing it's tail slowly. Moonlight bathed everything around her in a soft glow. The troll realized she was gripping her axe and hammer so tightly the cuts on her hands had re-opened. She forced herself to set down her weapons.
She knew she was alone, but Rizin felt vulnerable and defenseless. Swiftly, she donned all her armor, and stood, sliding bloodied brass knuckles on both of her hands. The squirrel seemed to sigh at her. Rizin picked up her packs, and headed to Thunder bluff for a flight to Desolace.
"I'm not ready yet."
