One may notice this quiet young orc sitting off on her own. Watching the goings on of others with amber eyes. Quiet and elusive much like the large wolf always at her side, she prefers to listen and watch than speak rashly. Though shy and quiet she's not one to anger, for like a wolf when cornered or threatened she will defend herself with fervor. Kotori always seems to be searching, on a hunt, for something or someone. (more to come later on )

The bitter wind cut through the frozen valley like a knife. Mingled with the howls of the wolves the wind pounded against the roof of the den. I was a child then, only a whelp, I remember waking to the sound of the howling, uncertain if it was the wind or the worgs our clan bread. Inuki lay asleep next to me, his mouth gaping wide as he laid sprawled on his back, a thick fur covering half of him. I giggled, listening to the sound of his snoring. My always protective older brother. The quiet one... except when he slept. I curled up beside him to fall back to sleep, no sooner had I lay my head back down, then my other brother Fuma came roaring into the den, his cloak swirling behind him as the wind and snow raged beyond the den opening. I looked up startled for a moment, Inuki slept on. Fuma was a huge orc, muscle on-top of coiled muscle. A look in his eyes unsettling to most, but to me My eldest brother Fuma was a gentle giant. Looking down at Inuki he scoffed, reaching down with a massive hand he picked Inuki up by the collar. "I swear Little brother." He spoke gruffly, his voice echoing off the den walls over the roar of the wind. "You could sleep through an avalanche. Now get up, and get dressed we have work to do." Inuki opened an eye, looking at Fuma with a hint of dazed confusion. "Wha...?" Said Inuki half asleep as he shook himself to wakefulness. "Fuma? whats going on?" Fuma growled under his breath, turning he Begin pulling a heavy rope from a chest. "That b**ch of a she wolf had her pups, she wont let any of the handlers near em. If we don't take them now, they wont survive this winter... and nor will we." Inuki sighed and rolled his eyes, laying back down, pulling a fur around his shoulder. "Just have Norric handle her, she obeys him." Fuma glared darkly, "Well little brother I would if she hadn't of ripped his arm off and mauled him to death." Fuma stormed from the den, Inuki sat bolt upright, his face pail, he silently got up and followed Fuma out into the winters night.

I sat watching my older brothers leave the den. The bite of the winter wind chilling me making my teeth chatter. I pulled the heavy fur around myself, and followed my brothers into the night. Looking back my actions were foolish, I was knee-high to a Kodo and out in the pitch-back, swirling winter night. The wind blew across my path, snow drifting in front of me. Clansmen running around with torches and ropes. Several of my clansmen carried a large object past me, I remember the ground being speckled a deep crimson as they made there way back into the center of the village. I walked on, drawn by the shouts and cried coming from up the road. Up to the den of Tappas, the great she-wolf, matriarch of our wolf pack. Tappas was not one of our clans wolves, she was a wild wolf that took over the pack many years hence. She had never been a problem, not till this moment. The entrance to the den was full of clansman, I tried to pear around them to see the new litter of pups, but no use. I was far to short to see. The sounds of the wind were broken suddenly by an echoing snarl, the sound of gnashing teeth and the unmistakable snapping of bone. Followed shortly by a sharp cry of pain from one of my clansmen. Not knowing what rough game they must have been playing, I decided to go around the back of the den and enter from a crack in its back wall. It was hardly large enough for myself to fit through, but its how I always managed to escape my older brothers torment, when they sent me about the task of chores. Slipping into the den, I was surrounded by the whimpers of several of the packs lesser wolves who huddled in the back of the den, away from Tappas gnashing fangs. I pat Roki and Nikka reassuringly and trotted into the main chamber of the den. Intent on finding the newly born pups.
