Fight de taint wherever it dwells and wherever it breeds
The taint and demons are a obvious threat to the horde and to the goddess. Destroying that threat is to the clans very reason for existence. The quickest route to power and respect among the clan and the surest way to stall the comming end, is to battle against the taint.
Respect de territory o another
Dis be basic, chew on cher own territory, its chers.. chew have all right to kick de ass o a troll dat insists on takin home der. Dis also applys to dem jobs an ranks.. respect
Accept an honorable surrender
Matters of leadership and honor are often settled by single combat. While this is a proper way to sovle such problems, it is imporant that the combatants not die needless deaths- every warrior is needed. The loser of the duel does not loose respect for showing his troat in surrender to end the fight, and the winner is respected for his restrant.
Submission to those of higher station
Every leader must have followers. Rank and jobs ease relations within the clan by outlining everyones place, with minimal fighting invovled. Reasonable requests from higher ranking clansmen are expected to be obeyed.
The first share of the kill for the greatest in station
In practice, the first share too often becomes the whole pile. While a pack within the clan may grudgingly accept doling out the rewards according to job or rank are earning their keep, an alpha who abuses this privilege will quickly find herself worn down by challanges from her clan.
Respect for those beneath ye; all are of the goddess
You once were a cub, everyone starts as cub.. one day the cubs will beable to grow up and beat the ever living hell outta your old body.. do you really want them to treat you the way you treated them?
Do not suffer they people to tend thy sickness
A dignified death is a private death. This is the way of the trolls who are mortally injured or simply too old. I preserves the resources of the group for those who can best benefit from them, rather then wasting them to extend a lost life. ((It is difficult to make such a cold step away from life toward death. The west wind speak out openly against this part of the rules, preferring to care for their elders and mortally wounded until they expire))
The leader may be challanged at any time during peace
For the good of the clan, a weak alpha must not be allowed to remain in control. If no danger immediatly threatens any clan of sufficient rank may challange the leader for her postion. A staredown, deul or gamecraft challange results, and the alpha must ceded her authority if she loses. Inappropriate or frivolous challanges- for example a cub challanging for alpha or matron- must be rebuffed with no loss of honor.
The leader may not be challaged during wartime
The strength of the clan is unity. United tactics are necessay to bring down the great monsters or hordes of smaller spawn that the clan may encounter; even one clan members laps in obedience may have dire consequences for the rest of the clan.
Ye shall take no action that causes a home to violated
It is our home we defend, our horde lands this should be simple enough.
