Yutia grumped quite a bit... She was pratically... no... completely useless with only one good hand. Of all things, an injured priest that couldn't hear herself... Some how her steed had lost it's footing, and when tugged on the reins, her hand and a few fingers dislocated themselves... There wasn't as much pain as one would expect... though that was the only advantage. Unable to weave her fingers properly, she at best was able to do a minor heal and set her hand in a cast until the magic finally healed her as a living creature's body would over time...
Since she had all that free time now... her mind and body took her to the Undercity... this time with no true purpose in mind, no rushing to the tailors for stitching, or the flight master to head off for some new battle... This was simply.. to wonder. White robes shimmering, giving her an almost ghostly living effect that she'd grown to be part of; she walked through the upper city area and the main courtyard.
Her mind idled, feet taking her along, fingers absently tapping the stones... almost as if counting them while she moved beneath the stone stairs on the northern side... stopping suddenly as found herself beneath on the path to the moat, fingers tapping one final stone that had a rather hollow sound... Tapping it again... then one beside it... she slowly started to claw a little around the brick's edges, the mortar giving away, almost as if was none... made easier due to the wall's old age.... The brick itself was about a foot by two feet almost... yet was rather light in weight, enough so a young girl perhaps could pull it out and put it back... Though as she moved it out... it landed on the floor, revealing the open backside... and a few books, dusty... but seemingly well perserved... Lifting the top... her eyes widned... there in the hand writing of a child learning to script, the words "Private journals of Yutia Viyune.. No Peeking!" scrawled across the cover...

She couldn't believe her eyes... (so the expression went at least >.>)... Here.. her mind... had brought her back to her old diary... the one from when she was only a child living in the times of Lorderon's greatness, when Tirisfal Glades was truly a place worth visiting... Sitting down.. she picked up the first book, the lock easy enough to pick open, smiling at the childish belief that she once had, thinking it'd keep anyone out..
Her fingers couldn't help but trace almost fondly over the pages.. slowly opening till came upon the first..........
"Today I am quite exicted... Papa said he would finally take me to the great city of Stratholme! Finally he agrees that I am old enough to make the journey, and see the many shops and places he does every month! *hand writing gets a bit bigger it seems with the excitement of her child self*
"*sigh* I wish Papa had told me just how long the trip really was! My new horse, Zodik... he seems to be chipper though and happy as me to explore new lands... sometimes Papa has to help me keep a hold of him so he doesn't run off... Luckily he's still small... "
"Grr... silly horse!... We were almost to Aunt Myrene in Darrowshire... and he had to chase a squirrel off the path... now I have to ride Papa's horse as he is tethered along, limping a little from the thorns in his foot... Least he knows not to play in Rose bushes anymore..."
((If anyone has any comments... or possibly lore links to the time when Strathomle was thriving... would be nice so possibly could tie in some real WoW lore... considering I unfortunately know next to none x.x))

((Ah thanks, though that didn't have too much of the lore, might try hunting down some other stuff later))

Continuing on....
It has been a few days... Aunt Myrene makes some of the best cookies... though Zodik keeps trying to get his snout in the saddle bag... Sometimes I think that horse thinks he's a human. Finally though... We've reached the village outside of Stratholme's gate... so many people and we've yet to enter the city! Well.. seems have to wait another day.. Papa's inn is outside the city... though... I am... tired...
Oh wow oh wow oh wow! somanydifferentstoresinthecityIwantovisitthemallbutPapakeepstellingmethatIhavetowaitbutIdon'twantIwanttogoseethekittiesandthepiebakerandfireworksmanandalltheneatgadgetshehasandIwannagoseealltheprettyflowersandbuysomeformamatotakehomeforherandthen...*continues on in rather unintelligible script...*
I can't believe it! Today Papa had me wait at the inn, but when he came back he brought me a little tool set and some supplies a scheming mad tick thing for my very own squirrel! He says it'll actually follow me around and do everything a real squirrel would, but it won't need to eat or make a mess!

To the next page...
Well, Papa was half right about the squrrel... it does need a little oil now and then, but that's not really eating... And it did make a mess... until I managed to get him put together properly.. Now he really is just like a real squirrel! So neat what those little bald people have come up with, sometimes I wonder just how the squirrel really knows what to do, though being a fast learner means I can teach him all sorts of tricks, many of which done while Papa was off doing business, leaving me to stay at the inn or nearby only..
Papa says he is finally done with business, and we can really go look at the city today! I'm so excited, and Nutloose seems to be hopping around, making that ticking sound almost like he was chittering.
Wow, Stratholme is so much bigger than I even thought... and with all we have... I think I'm ready to go home... Papa and I have been gone nearly two weeks, and be almost another just to get back... Well off to pack Mama's flowers... least Zodik try eating them... silly horse....

A few of the next pages seemed to be smudged, crumbling to dust from age and drying out...
Sigh.... the academy is so boring and dull! Pa makes me go and wear those stupid uniforms... Though I suppose it is good to learn about the world... Sometimes I don't think I could stand the thought of some people stuck to only know what they were born with all their life... There's so much out there in the world to see!
Well... Pa isn't happy with me yet again... I think he's regretting ever making that purchase for Nutloose all those years ago... since if not for the squirrel I'd never have learned to make those nifty little bombs... Which fit so conveniently in the boy's lavatories...
Finally back in the academy... oh joy... though I suppose it's better than mopping the house and scrubbing the dishes the few days I was I was forced to stay out... As if they would really need to force me not to go...
