"Why have you been sleeping so much?" Xaviera growled as she laid into the side of another of the Shardtooth she and Jawaa were hunting.
The tall troll woman shrugged as she took aim with her rifle, shooting just over the orange and black ball of fury that was her tiger. It had been a while since the two had actually hunted together. Of course they fought together, in group assaults on Blackrock Spire or other places... But actually hunting something, stalking their prey, just hunter and tiger... it had been a while.
"Ah jus' haven' been feelin' dat great..." Jawaa mumbled as the great bear fell to it's side.
"Is it the urges again?"
Jawaa paused a moment and nodded. "Yeh... dey's comin' back. Sleepin' keeps dem away... but even in ma sleep ah fights it an' wakes up tired." Jawaa thought back to the last time she felt this urge to kill... to cause pain, and how she had laid waste to the elven lodge in the Hinterlands, and her attack of the huge troll temple there as well. Absently her fingers drifted over the fading scars from those. "Ah know ah gonna have ta give in soon... but ah don' wan' ta. Na' yet."
Xaviera yawned and stretched, digging her claws into the snow. "Maybe you should do something relaxing? Take your mind off the killing in general?"
Which is how Jawaa found herself on the shores of Stranglethorn Vale. All her weapons and armor were in care of the Thunder Bluff bank, having been swapped for her fishing gear... a simple leather tunic and pants, her pole, and her lucky fishing hat. Within the first few casts she felt better... and swimming from spot to spot, feeling the warm ocean water across her skin eased her mind even more.
She grinned to herself, realizing how long it had been since she had gone fishing just for the sake of fishing, instead of fishing for specific things. A long time indeed. The only thing that could make this better was a good drop in temperature, as it was hot and humid here!
As if on cue, A stiff breeze blew in from the sea. Off in the distance, Jawaa heard the dull rumble of thunder. The air carried the distinct smell of rain. Shortly after, the first drops of a drenching jungle rain fell on her hat. Smiling, Jawaa fished for a few more minutes, as the rain increased from a sprinkle, to a steady rain, to a pounding downpour with crashing thunder. Jawaa laid down on the beach and let the fat raindrops fall on her, enjoying the power of the Stranglethorn rain, and letting it wash her thoughts away.
